Arizona Vignettes is a static website: the pages you read are plain files delivered to your browser, with no user accounts, no comment system and no database collecting information about visitors. That keeps this page shorter than most privacy notices. Below is everything we know about the data that passes through the site, written so that you can check it against your own experience.
Who is responsible
The site is run by the small editorial team behind Arizona Vignettes. For anything concerning your data, write to mail@arizonavignettes.com. That address reaches the people who maintain the site directly.
What we do not collect
- We run no analytics or statistics tools, so we have no record of which pages you read or how long you stayed.
- We show no advertising and load no ad networks.
- We use no tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts or social media widgets that follow you around the web.
- We do not build profiles of readers, and we never sell, rent or trade personal information.
What does pass through
Your answer to the cookie banner
When you click one of the buttons on the banner, your browser saves that answer in its local storage so the banner does not reappear on every page. The entry holds nothing but your choice, stays on your device and is never sent to us. Our About Cookies page explains how to remove it.
What the web host records
Like any website, ours is delivered by a hosting company. To send a page and to defend against abuse, its servers briefly record technical details of each request: your IP address, the time, the page requested, and the browser type your device reports. These logs are handled by the host under its own security practices and kept only for a limited period. We do not combine them with any other information or use them to identify readers. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
Emails you send us
If you write to us, we receive your address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to read and answer you, and we delete correspondence once it no longer serves that purpose, normally within twelve months. Please do not send account details, passwords or payment information; we would never ask for them.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place with similar rules, data protection law gives you the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal data about you, and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive data you gave us in a portable format;
- complain to the data protection authority in your country.
In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email exchange with you. To use any of these rights, contact us at the address above and we will reply within one month.
Age
This site is intended for adults only. We do not knowingly receive messages from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we delete them.
Changes to this notice
If the way the site works changes — for example, if we ever added a tool that processed data — we would update this page before the change took effect and revise the date at the top.
